10.11.2025 – Library at M. Rettigové 4 closed from 1 December 2025 due to renovation

We are expanding and improving our spaces for studying and meeting.

Please make sure to borrow all the books you will need in time – the last day for borrowing is Friday, 28 November 2025.

During the closure:

• all loans due during this period will be automatically extended until 4 May 2026,
• books can be returned at any time via the return box next to the porter’s lodge,
• borrowing (including through reservation boxes) will not be possible,
• the study room in Celetná 13 will remain open as usual.

16.09.2025 – We will reopen the library at M. Rettigová 4 on 29 September. The reading room at Celetná 13 is open daily.

The loan period for all books has been extended until 15 October 2025. The reading room at Celetná 13 is open Monday to Thursday 9:00–16:00 and Friday 9:00–13:00. We look forward to seeing you!

09.06.2025 – New media database NewtonOne

The Anopress media database has now been replaced by the more modern NewtonOne platform.

The entire user interface has been redesigned – it’s more user-friendly and offers new features, such as grouping news about the same event and tracking article edits, including headline changes.
