04.06.2026 – We Are Opening a New Study Room (Trial Operation)

M. Rettigové 4:

You can find the new study room opposite the original one. The trial operation will start on Monday, June 8, 2026. Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–16:00. Spiral binding is also available.

The original study room is still undergoing renovation, but it should reopen during June.

Both study rooms will now offer books that can be borrowed for home use. Books can still be returned to the return box next to the reception desk; the due date is June 10, 2026. Books can be reserved via UKAŽ and collected from the reservation box.

Celetná 13:

Open until the end of June. Opening hours: Monday to Thursday 9:00–18:00, Friday 9:00–13:00. A printer, spiral binding, and a laminator are available.

29.01.2026 – SAGE Research Methods Core

SAGE Research Methods Core is a research methods library with more than 1,000 books, reference works, journal articles, and instructional videos from the social sciences.

05.01.2026 – Library Renovation: Temporary Closure and Service Changes

During the renovation, we are expanding the space available for study and meetings. Consultations are provided in office R006 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or by email at knihovna@pedf.cuni.cz. The study room at Celetná 13 remains open under normal conditions.

During the closure:

• the lending desk and study room at M. Rettigové 4 are closed,
• loans due during this period are automatically extended until 10th June 2026,
• books can be returned at any time via the book drop at the porter’s desk,
• borrowing books (including via reservation boxes) is not possible.
